Overseas Mt. Fuji Innovation Camp is a program designed to explore a way of working
that values both entrepreneurship and family well-being.
This three-day, two-night camp welcomes not only entrepreneurs,
but also domestic partners and staff together with their families
—an uncommon format in Japan.
By sharing not only daytime sessions but also meals and time with family,
the program creates a space where relationships grow not just for individual entrepreneurs,
but for families as a whole.
<Background>
While the number of foreign entrepreneurs in Japan continues to grow, support systems that help them establish and scale their businesses in the Japanese market remain limited.
This program was developed as a hands-on initiative that directly supports business growth, clearly distinguishing itself from conventional soft-landing programs by focusing on practical engagement and long-term integration.
The inaugural Overseas Mt. Fuji Innovation Camp was held
from Saturday, February 22 to Monday, February 24 (national holiday), 2025, at AMUSE VILLAGE.
Surrounded by the rich natural environment of Lake Saiko, Mt. Fuji,
and the Aokigahara forest, participants spent time in a setting deeply connected to nature.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere of AMUSE VILLAGE
—decorated with furniture and art that reflect AMUSE’s history—
created a comfortable space for everyone involved.
Together with the presence of children, who reminded us of small, everyday moments of joy,
all of these elements came together to create a place where families could genuinely feel a sense of happiness.
AMUSE VILLAGE is the headquarters facility of AMUSE Inc., a comprehensive entertainment company, located on the shores of Lake Saiko, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Surrounded by rich natural landscapes, the facility was relocated from Tokyo in 2021 with the aim of sharpening the senses and strengthening creative production through close engagement with nature.
